March to Mid of June and Sep to Nov are the best time to visit Lake Jeep tour. The climate is warm and quite pleasant during that time most of the wild flower is blooming, the sky is crystal clear and she is filled up her beauty. In summer season (Mid of June to August) there is heavy rain fall and the water level of the rivers and stream will rise above, most of the road were unpaved. So it is difficult to travel on remote or hilly areas. But in winter season the temperature is fall below 0 degree occasionally snowfall is occurs. It make difficult to reach there through crossing snowcapped passages but many of the tourists, who wants to play with snow choose this winter season (Dec to Mid of Feb).
Rara is a dream destination for the traveler to observe and seeking her beauty so the visitor want to reach there. There are many option to reach. You may have flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj to Talcha and around a couple of hour hiking to reach at lake. Or By jeep from Kathmandu to Surkhet it takes around 13 hr. drive to reach at Surkhet, we will cover approximately 605 km. And next day continue drive about 7-8 ahead to Kalikot it will cover nearly 170 km through the forest with spiritual views hill and green land scape. In the third day we continuous drive to Rara via Sinja and Nagmi. From Nagma to Rara is an off road drive. It takes around 4 hr. drive to reach at Talcha airport and the around 30 minutes’ drive ahead then we park our vehicle and nearly an hour hike to uphill to reach at lake.
During our Rara lake tour/ trek our accommodation will be hotel or local lodge as per the availability. But at our dream destination we have option to stay either camping near the Lake, where the local government allocate space for camping or we may have to stay local lodge which is operated by local people.
