Overview
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a breathtaking and off-the-beaten-path adventure that circles around Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 meters (26,781 ft). Nestled in the remote Gorkha region of Nepal, this trek offers a perfect blend of dramatic Himalayan landscapes, rich Tibetan Buddhist culture, and pristine wilderness. Unlike the more crowded Everest and Annapurna trails, Manaslu remains relatively untouched, allowing trekkers to experience authentic village life, ancient monasteries, and stunning high-altitude terrain.
With a maximum elevation of 5,106 meters (16,752 ft) at the Larkya La Pass, this moderate to challenging trek takes you through lush forests, deep river valleys, alpine meadows, and high mountain deserts. Due to its location in a restricted area, the Manaslu Circuit requires a special permit, and trekkers must travel with a licensed guide—making it a more regulated and eco-conscious journey.
