The Tamang Heritage Trek is a 14-day journey that will take you through picturesque villages, lush forests, pristine rivers, majestic waterfalls, and towering mountains. The trek starts in Syabrubesi, a small town located in the Rasuwa district. From there, you will trek to Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village known for its unique architecture and rich cultural heritage. The Tamang people are known for their hospitality and warmth, and you will have the opportunity to interact with them and learn about their way of life.
As you continue your journey, you will visit several other Tamang villages like Thuman and Briddim. These villages offer a chance to experience the local way of life, try traditional food, and participate in cultural activities. You will also have the opportunity to stay in local homestays and interact with the Tamang people. This immersive experience will give you a deeper understanding of the Tamang culture and their way of life.

Itineraries
Day 1: Arrived at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. Take this time to relax and settle in. You might want to explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, filled with bustling markets, ancient temples, and a rich cultural tapestry.
Day 2: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790ft)
Tamang Heritage Trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, a small town located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. This drive takes around 8 hours, but it is well worth it as you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Himalayan mountains and get to witness the rural life of Nepal. . We will stay overnight in Syabrubesi, a beautiful village nestled in the foothills of the Langtang Himal range.
Day 3: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2238m/7342ft)
On the second day, you will begin your trek by hiking from Syabrubesi making our way towards Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village. The trail will take around 6-7 hours and takes you through dense forests, quaint villages, terraced fields, and lush green hills. You will get to witness the Tamang people's culture and lifestyle, their unique architecture, and traditional costumes. You will spend the night in a homestay and experience the warmth and hospitality of the Tamang people. We will stay overnight in Gatlang, a picturesque village that offers stunning views of the mountains.
Day 4: Gatlang to Tatopani (2,607m/8550ft)
We continue our trek on the fourth day as we hike to Tatopani, a small village famous for its natural hot springs that is believed to have healing properties. The trek will take around 6-7 hours, passing through the beautiful Tamang village of Chilime and crossing a suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River. The trail takes you through rhododendron forests, pastures, and picturesque landscapes. . We will spend the night in Tatopani, having the opportunity to take a dip in the hot springs and rejuvenate yourself after a long day of trekking.
Day 5: Tatopani to Nagthali (3,200m)
After a peaceful morning in Tatopani, you will trek to Nagthali, another beautiful and peacefull Tamang village that offers an authentic glimpse into their culture and way of life with unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and outdoor adventure. The trail is relatively easy and will pass through lush green forests and scenic landscapes, taking you to an altitude of around 3,200 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of the Langtang Himalayan range , including Langtang Lirung (7,246 meters), Langshisa Ri (6,427 meters), Dorje Lakpa (6,990 meters), and other peaks. You will have the opportunity to explore the traditional Tamang houses, visit the local monasteries, and witness the Tamang people's unique culture and traditions.
Day 6: Nagthali to Briddim (2,345m)
Today's trek will take us to Briddim, a beautiful Tamang village that has retained its traditional way of life. The trek will take around 6-7 hours, and we will pass through scenic landscapes, beautiful rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and charming villages. We will have the chance to learn about their customs, visit ancient monasteries, and enjoy the local cuisine firsthand. We will stay overnight in a homestay, experiencing the warmth and hospitality of the Tamang community.
Day 7: Briddim to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790ft)
On the sixth day, we will trek back to Syabrubesi an easy downhill walk, allowing you to enjoy the scenic beauty one last time., where we will spend our last night on the trek. We will celebrate the completion of our journey with a traditional Nepali meal.
Day 8: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu
Today, we will take a scenic drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu, where our trek will come to an end. We will say goodbye to our guide and porter. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore the city on your own, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing in your hotel.
Day 9: Finale Departure
Today marks the end of your trekking adventure in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, take some time for last-minute souvenir shopping, explore more of Kathmandu if time permits, or simply relax before your departure.
You'll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Nepal, carrying with you cherished memories of the breathtaking landscapes, cultural experiences, and the adventure of a lifetime
