Itineraries
Day 1: Arrived at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. Take this time to relax and settle in. You might want to explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, filled with bustling markets, ancient temples, and a rich cultural tapestry.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m)
The Second day of the trek starts with a scenic drive to Syabrubesi, a small town that is situated on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River in the Langtang region. The journey takes approximately 8-9 hours, and during the drive, you will witness the picturesque landscape of the Nepalese countryside. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, you can relax and prepare for the trek.
Day 3: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,200m)
Trek through the lush green forests and terraced fields with spectacular view of langtang in the background to reach the beautiful village of Gatlang, a picturesque village that is situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters. Upon arrival in “Black Village”, you will have an opportunity to explore, learn, and experience the warm hospitality, unique culture, tradition, and the way of life of the main inhabitants of this village.
Day 4: Gatlang to Tatopani (2,607m)
The Fourth day of the trek takes you to Tatopani, which means "hot water" in Nepali. The village is known for its natural hot springs, which are believed to have healing properties. Along the way, you will pass through lush forests and beautiful waterfalls. Enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding mountains in Tatopani, you can take a dip to relax in the natural hot springs and rejuvenate your tired muscles after a long day of trekking.
Day 5: Tatopani to Nagthali (3,200m)
On day five, you will trek to Nagthali a beautiful and peaceful village that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and outdoor adventure. Situated at an altitude of around 3,200 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of the Langtang Himalayan range , including Langtang Lirung (7,246 meters), Langshisa Ri (6,427 meters), Dorje Lakpa (6,990 meters), and other peaks. The village is a popular trekking destination and a great place to experience the culture and traditions of the Tamang people, who are the predominant ethnic group in the area.
Day 6: Nagthali to Briddim (2,345m)
After breakfast the sixth day of the trek takes you to Briddim, another beautiful Tamang village situated on a hilltop overlooking the Langtang range. The village is known for its unique culture and traditional houses made of stone. You can explore the village and learn about the traditional farming practices and customs of the Tamang people.
Day 7: Briddim to Lama Hotel (2,380m)
On day seventh, you will trek to Lama Hotel, a small settlement in the bank of Langtang river is in the heart of the Langtang Valley. The trail passes through dense forests where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife along the way and offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. This is a great place to rest and soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Day 8: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m)
The eighth day of the trek takes you to Langtang Village, a beautiful settlement located at an altitude of 3,430 meters. The village is surrounded by the Langtang range and offers a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. You can explore the village, visit the local monasteries, cheese factories and have the opportunity to explore the unique flora and fauna of the region.
Day 9: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)
On day ninth, you will trek to Kyanjin Gompa, a famous Buddhist monastery that is over 400 years old and serves as a spiritual center for the local Tamang community located at an altitude of 3,870 meters. The trail passes through beautiful meadows and offers a panoramic view of the Langtang range, including Langtang Lirung (7,227 meters) and Ganesh Himal (7,422 meters). Upon arrival in Kyanjin Gompa, you can explore the monastery and enjoy the stunning surroundings.
Day 10: Kyanjin Gompa - Tserko Ri (5,000m) - Kyanjin Gompa
The ten day of the trek is one of the highlights of the entire journey as it takes you to Tserko Ri, one of the most popular vantage points in the Langtang region. The trek to Tserko Ri is challenging but rewarding, as it offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including the Langtang range, Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), Langshisa Ri(6370m), Gangchempo(6387m), and many other peaks. After spending some time taking in the magnificent view, you will return to Kyanjin Gompa, explore the cheese factory and the surrounding area.
Day 11: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,380m)
On day eleventh , you will retrace your steps and trek back to Lama Hotel. The trail offers a different perspective of the landscape, and you may come across different wildlife like langur monkeys, Himalayan tahr, and even red pandas. Upon arrival in Lama Hotel, you can rest and relax after a long day of trekking.
Day 12: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m)
The twelve day of the trek takes you to Thulo Syabru, a picturesque village situated on a ridge overlooking the Langtang Valley is located at an altitude of 2,230 meters. The village offers a stunning view of the Ganesh Himal range and is home to a famous shrine dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. You can explore the village and learn about the traditional farming practices of the locals.
Day 13: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3,330m)
On thirteenth day, you will trek to Sing Gompa, a famous Buddhist monastery located at an altitude of 3,330 meters. The monastery is known for its unique architecture and religious significance, and it offers a stunning view of the Himalayas. You can explore the monastery and learn about the spiritual practices of the monks. This village is also famous for its cheese factory, and you can sample some of the delicious cheese that is produced here.
Day 14: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4,380m)
The fourteen day of the trek takes you to Gosainkunda, a sacred lake located at an altitude of 4,380 meters. The lake is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva, and it is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. The trek to Gosainkunda is challenging, but the stunning view of the snow-capped mountains and the crystal-clear water of the lake makes it worth it.
Day 15: Gosainkunda to Tharepati (3,650m)
On day fifteenth, you will trek to Tharepati, a beautiful settlement located at an altitude of 3,650 meters. The trail passes through dense forests and offers a stunning view of the Himalayan landscape and have an opportunity to learn about the unique flora & fauna of the region. It is the day that you may witness to have a real encounter with most shy and endangered mammal, Red Panda. Upon arrival in Tharepati, you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Day 16: Tharepati to Kutumsang (2,446 m)
On day sixteen, you will trek to Kutumsang, a small village that is situated at an altitude of 2,446 meters. The village is famous for its traditional houses and you will have the opportunity to learn about their architecture also its apple orchards will certainly rejuvenates you as it is a great place to rest and relax.
Day 17: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2,165 m)
After breakfast, trek to Chisapani, on a hilltop overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the region.
Day 18: Trek to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu (1,460m)
On the final day of the trek, you will trek to Sundarijal, a small town that is situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu. From here, you will take a short drive back to Kathmandu, where you can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and shopping for souvenirs.
Day 19: Final Departure
Today marks the end of your trekking adventure in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, take some time for last-minute souvenir shopping, explore more of Kathmandu if time permits, or simply relax before your departure.
You'll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to Nepal, carrying with you cherished memories of the breathtaking landscapes, cultural experiences, and the adventure of a lifetime
